Kate Smith is a Naturopathic Physician who specializes in Classical Homeopathy. Through her practice, Dr. Smith strives to reconnect each patient with their individuality, release them from any limitations, and help them to attain their full potential of physical, mental and emotional health.  Dr. Smith is also a certified yoga instructor.  She believes yoga is a perfect compliment to Naturopathic Medicine and a therapeutic way to find balance and wellness through movement.  

Dr. Smith completed her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. She then earned her Naturopathic Doctorate from the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, Oregon. In addition to her studies at NCNM, Dr. Smith completed an extensive homeopathic apprenticeship program integrating new analysis and treatment techniques developed by Dr. Rajan Sankaran. Dr. Smith spent 2 years as the Director of Education and Marketing for the Homeopathic Symposium, an on-line medical distance learning project that documents and teaches homeopathic treatment of serious illnesses.

Dr. Smith is the co-founder and co-owner of 8 Hearts Health & Wellness Center in Portland, Oregon, where she is in private practice. She travels once a month to see clients in Lodi, California.  Dr. Smith completed her Yoga Teacher Training and Certification through Yoga Union in Portland, Oregon. In addition to helping her patients and teaching yoga, Dr. Smith enjoys being outside, reading, traveling and sharing laughter with family and friends.
